Bank Indonesia’s survey in December 2025 shows that the Job Availability Index (IKLK) rose to 106.5, up from 103.7 in the previous month. This increase places the index in the optimistic zone, indicating that more respondents perceive job opportunities to be more readily available compared to earlier periods.
Positive sentiment was observed across almost all education levels, with the most significant improvement recorded among respondents holding postgraduate degrees. Favorable perceptions were also noted among high school, diploma, and undergraduate graduates. However, individuals aged over 51 tend to remain more cautious in assessing current labor market conditions.
Meanwhile, expectations for job availability over the next six months declined slightly, although they remain within the optimistic range. This suggests a degree of caution toward medium-term prospects, but overall public confidence in Indonesia’s labor market at the beginning of 2026 remains intact.
