August 17th has always been a special moment for the people of Indonesia. Not only celebrated at home, the Independence Day spirit also filled our workplace. This year, in honor of Indonesia’s 80th Independence Day, the office at HRnetRimbun and RecruitFirst Indonesia was filled with joy and excitement through fun, traditional 17-an activities.

Red-and-White Festive Decorations

From the morning, the office atmosphere transformed with vibrant red-and-white decorations. These simple yet meaningful touches instantly lifted everyone’s spirit, bringing a strong sense of nationalism to every corner of the office.

Exciting 17-an Competitions

To add to the fun, employees were randomly divided into two teams and joined a series of traditional Independence Day games. Laughter and cheers filled the room as everyone competed in:

  • Kerupuk eating contest, a timeless crowd favorite.
  • Ball into a glass without using hands, testing agility and teamwork.
  • Beer pong–style ball toss game, a modern twist that brought extra fun and healthy competition.

In addition to team games, the office also held a Best Dressed competition, where two male and two female employees were crowned winners for their festive outfits.

Prizes and Surprises

Beyond the Best Dressed winners, the victorious team from the games received snack hampers as prizes. These small rewards symbolized not only success but also strengthened camaraderie among colleagues.

Nostalgic Indonesian Treats

To complete the celebration, the office served nostalgic delicacies such as traditional kue basah, sachet-style drinks, and martabak, creating a warm and friendly warung-style atmosphere that everyone enjoyed.

A Celebration of Gratitude and Togetherness

The Independence Day celebration at HRnetRimbun and RecruitFirst Indonesia was more than just fun and games. It was also a reminder that the freedom we enjoy today is the result of long struggles, and it is our responsibility to continue the spirit of unity, collaboration, and optimism moving forward.

With the 17-an spirit, let’s celebrate Indonesia’s 80th Independence Day with gratitude and togetherness!
